Sylvic Acid
Abietic acid is a naturally occurring compound found in the resin of some trees, such as pine and fir. It is a colourless crystalline solid that has a woody smell similar to pine. Abietic acid is used in the manufacture of industrial products such as resins, adhesives and lubricants, as well as in the production of fragrances and flavourings.
