It acts by binding to a specific enzyme in the insect's nerve cells, leading to paralysis and death of the insect. It is used to control a wide range of insects including ants, aphids, caterpillars and many others. It is used to kill insects on a variety of crops such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, as well as in gardens, lawns and ornamental plants. It is also used to control pests in livestock, poultry and pets.
