Malic acid - Chemical resistance

Malic acid is an organic acid with a mild fruity taste. It is used in food processing as an acidifier, preservative and for pH control. It is also found in fruits and vegetables and has health benefits such as aiding digestion and detoxification. In the cosmetic industry it is used for its exfoliating and rejuvenating effects on the skin. Malic acid can be used as a mild cleaning agent to remove oxides and stains from metal surfaces, for example when cleaning stainless steel. In the chemical industry, malic acid can be used in surface treatments of materials to achieve specific properties.
