Naphthenic acid - Chemical resistance

Naphthenic acid is an organic acid derived from naphtha. It has an oily consistency and is soluble in water. It is used as a raw material in the manufacture of soaps, detergents and emulsion polymers. Its emulsifiers are used in the textile, paper and leather industries. Naphthenic acid is also used in chemical engineering and research for the production of organic compounds. Its antiseptic properties make it useful in medicine.
