Carbonyl Dichloride
Phosgene is a highly toxic colourless gas that has a pungent and irritating odour. It was originally used as a chemical weapon during World War I and is still used as an industrial chemical in the production of various chemicals, including polycarbonate plastics, isocyanates and chloroformates.
