Naphtha is a type of gasoline that contains high levels of sulphur. It is considered 'sour' because of the strong, unpleasant smell caused by the sulphur compounds present. It is considered to be of poor quality and is not suitable for use in most vehicles and can cause damage to catalytic converters and other engine parts.
