Caustic Soda
Sodium hydroxide is a highly alkaline chemical compound. It is a white, hygroscopic, crystalline solid that is highly soluble in water and generates considerable heat when dissolved. Sodium hydroxide is widely used in a variety of industrial and manufacturing processes, such as the production of soap, paper, textiles and petroleum products. It is also used in food processing, water treatment and as a cleaning agent.
