Vinylpyridine is a monomer used to form polymers that have a wide range of properties, including excellent chemical and solvent resistance, good electrical insulation and increased durability. It is often used in the manufacture of adhesives, sealants, coatings and elastomers. Vinylpyridine can also be used as an intermediate in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, dyes and other chemicals.
