Zeolite-treated water is water treated with natural or synthetic zeolites, which are microporous aluminosilicate minerals. Zeolites act as ion exchange materials and remove heavy metal ions and other contaminants from water. The result is better water quality with reduced heavy metals, ions and other contaminants. Zeolite-treated water is commonly used in a variety of applications, such as in agriculture for irrigation, in industry for cooling systems, and in the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater.
