Lead acetate (aqueous solution) - Chemical resistance

Lead acetate (aqueous solution) is a colourless liquid that contains lead in the form of acetate. In the past it was used as a gasoline additive to increase octane rating. Its use is currently restricted due to the toxic effects of lead. It may be present in historical applications and restoration, but due to safety concerns and environmental impacts, alternative solutions are being sought.
