Mineral oil is a colourless, odourless and tasteless liquid produced from refined crude oil. It is used in a wide range of industrial and consumer products such as cosmetics, personal care products and household items. It is also used as a lubricant and laxative. In industry, mineral oil is used as a lubricant and coolant for machinery and as an anti-corrosion agent for metal surfaces.
