NDMA
N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) is a colourless, water-soluble liquid that has a slightly bitter taste. NDMA belongs to a group of chemicals known as nitrosamines, which are known to be potent carcinogens. NDMA is a by-product of some industrial processes such as pesticide production, rubber products and fish processing. It is also considered a strong environmental pollutant.
