At the flange joint of the high-performance water heater, repeated leaks occurred during the shutdown and startup of the boiler. An analysis of the current condition revealed that a fiber-rubber gasket was used, which is not a suitable material for the specified temperatures.
Based on the analysis, a change in the sealing material was proposed. The original fiber-rubber seal was replaced with metal sealing with a high degree of resilience. At the same time, the dimensions of the seal were optimized based on calculations.

The connection now works without repeated leaks. The result is smooth operation – without unnecessary downtime and savings in both time and costs.
