1,2-Dichlorotetrafluoroethane, R-114, Freon 114
Type 114 (R-114) refrigerant, chemical name 1,2-dichloro-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, is a nonflammable gas with a sweetish odor similar to chloroform. It is used in centrifugal chillers and is known to be used in the marine industry or other applications where corrosion is more common. Due to ozone depletion, its production and consumption is being phased out.

FKM has excellent chemical and heat resistance. It is used in mineral oil and grease based applications.
