Skydrol is the trade name for a type of hydraulic fluid used in aviation. Skydrol fluids are phosphate ester based and are known for their high fire resistance and excellent performance in high pressure hydraulic systems. They are used in a variety of aerospace applications including flight control systems, landing gear and hydraulic actuators.
