Safety sleeves for fittings and valves

Fittings and valves are a risk area in every piping system. In the event of a sudden failure of the seal or body of the fitting, the medium escapes directly to the operator. Safeval safety collars capture the leak at the source and protect the health of workers – without restricting access to the control elements.

The Safeval series is available in two material variants according to operational requirements

Safeval 100% PTFE – is made exclusively from PTFE – from fabrics to tightening cords. It is resistant to degradation from aggressive media and temperature, making it the first choice for hazardous chemical operations. Operating range: −200 to 230 °C, 1–100 bar. Safeval VT – is made from special glass fibers VETRARTE 200/C, where each fiber is impregnated with PTFE for chemical resistance. Operating range: −150 to 230 °C, 1–100 bar. Both versions are available with a transparent GARD cover, which allows for visual inspection of the joint condition without disassembly. Upon request, the clamp can be equipped with drainage for diverting captured media into a collection container.

Safeval clamps fully protect the body of the fitting except for the control levers and handwheels.

What is the difference between Safeval 100% PTFE and Safeval VT?

Safeval 100% PTFE is made exclusively from fluoropolymer – suitable for the most aggressive chemical media and the widest temperature range (−200 to 230 °C). Safeval VT combines VETRARTE 200/C glass fibers with PTFE impregnation with a temperature range of −150 to 230 °C. Both types achieve the same max. pressure of 100 bar.

Can the condition of the joint be checked without disassembling the fitting?

Yes – both versions are available in a transparent GARD design, which allows for visual inspection inside the fitting during operation.

What happens to the captured media?

The standard fitting captures the media inside. Upon request, we can provide a version with a drainage hole for discharging the media into a collection container – suitable where leak detection is necessary or where the media must not escape freely into the environment.

Can the fitting be installed without shutting down the operation?

Installation and removal are straightforward and do not require modification of the fittings. The specific procedure depends on the type of fitting and operating conditions – we can advise if needed.
