A sudden failure of a flange joint can cause a release of hot media, steam, or chemicals in the immediate vicinity of the operator. The POWER®seal EnviGuard safety sleeves capture the leak at the first release and protect employee health. One design covers both the flange joint and the fittings, from chemical operations to ATEX zones.

The reliability of flange connections can be ensured in two ways. An active approach prevents risks through a systematic solution for tightness – from the design of tightening torques according to EN 1591-1 to controlled assembly by trained personnel according to EN 1591-4. The passive approach complements active measures where sudden failure of the connection cannot be completely excluded: it minimizes the consequences.
The POWER®seal EnviGuard safety sleeves are made from a single piece and completely encase the flange connection or fitting (excluding control elements). In the event of a medium leak, it captures the escape before it affects the surroundings. Tested for repeated leaks – functionality is maintained even after disassembly and reassembly.
The sleeves are produced in both soft and hard versions. The choice depends on the temperature, pressure, and nature of the medium:
Soft sleeves are fastened with cords, while stainless steel variants use locks or screw connections. Assembly and disassembly are straightforward, and the fastening system allows for repeated use while maintaining the declared protection.
Sleeves are available for standard DN/PN and ASME B16.5 dimensions as well as custom sizes according to provided dimensions.
It protects individuals in the vicinity of the flange joint or fitting. In the event of a sudden media leak – steam, chemicals, or pressurized gas – it captures the leak within the collar and prevents contact between the media and the operator. The fittings protect the entire body of the valve, while the controls remain accessible.
Active protection prevents the occurrence of leaks: calculations of tightening torques, certified seals, installation by trained technicians according to EN 1591-4. Passive protection (safety collar) comes into play when a joint fails despite these measures. Both levels of protection complement each other.
Yes. The mounting system is designed for repeated assembly and disassembly, while the declared level of protection remains intact. Collars are tested for capturing the first leak even with repeated use.
The choice depends on the nominal diameter (DN), pressure rating (PN), temperature, and type of media. For ATEX zones and aggressive chemical media, we recommend a 100% PTFE design. We can help with the selection – just send the parameters of the joint.
Selected types are available with a media leak identifier, drain hole, transparent design for visual inspection, or a lock against unauthorized manipulation.
