POWERtherm thermal insulation sleeves are used for thermal insulation of pipes, hoses, cables, and other industrial components. They are available in various material designs, including versions with elastomer, silicone, or aluminum surface finishes.
They are used, for example, in the metallurgical, automotive, aerospace, and marine industries. They are used, among other things, to protect hydraulic hoses, electrical cables, and other components.
Individual designs differ in the materials used, temperature resistance, and surface treatment. The suitable type is chosen based on the required function, operating temperature, and conditions of the specific application.
Sleeves without surface treatment primarily provide thermal insulation. Surface-treated variants may have additional protective properties. For example, the silicone layer on selected fiberglass sleeves offers protection against flames, molten metal droplets, and the effects of chemical agents.
The temperature resistance of thermal insulation sleeves depends on the material used and the specific design. Different materials have varying temperature limits, so it is essential to consider the technical parameters of the specific type of sleeve and the conditions of its use when making a selection.
