Thermal Insulation Boards and Papers for Industrial Applications

Thermal insulation boards and papers are used to limit heat transfer and protect technological equipment exposed to high temperatures. They are applied, for example, in the insulation of furnaces, boilers, hot air ducts, and other industrial equipment.

The individual materials vary in composition, thickness, mechanical properties, and temperature resistance. The suitable design is chosen according to the operating temperature, the structure of the equipment, and the requirements of the specific application.

• POWERtherm 5501 – fire-resistant paper made from ceramic aluminosilicate fibers with an organic binder. Temperature resistance up to 1,100 °C.
• POWERtherm 5502 – fire-resistant boards made from ceramic aluminosilicate fibers with an organic binder. Temperature resistance up to 1,200 °C.
• POWERtherm 5503 – fire-resistant boards made from ceramic aluminosilicate fibers and mineral wool. Temperature resistance depending on the type up to 600 °C, 800 °C, or 1,000 °C.
• POWERtherm 5504/5 – fire-resistant boards made from ceramic aluminosilicate fibers with organic and inorganic binders. Temperature resistance up to 1,100 °C.
• POWERtherm 5506 – mineral fiber boards made from mineral wool and organic binders. Temperature resistance up to 450 °C.
• Thermoshield 850 – fire-resistant boards based on inorganic fibers with binders, resistant to flames and temperatures up to 850 °C.
• Thermoshield 1250 – fire-resistant boards based on inorganic fibers with binders, resistant to flames and temperatures up to 1,250 °C.
