Sludge Pumps – Reliable Pumping of Wastewater and Sludge

SACI pumps submersible pumps for wastewater, sewage sludge, sewage, drainage and industrial effluent. Three ranges cover the full spectrum, from light drainage to heavy-duty wastewater treatment plant operations.

All pumps have an IP 68 rating (continuous immersion), a motor cooled by the pumped liquid and a double mechanical seal for reliable operation in demanding conditions.

VORT Range – Stainless Steel, Light Sludge

Compact submersible pump made of AISI 304 stainless steel with a vortex impeller. Flow rate up to 32 m³/h, head up to 11 m, motors 0,55–1,5 kW. Solids passage up to 50 mm. For drainage, lightly contaminated wastewater and general-purpose effluent. Single-phase versions with an automatic float switch. Maximum immersion depth 10 m, liquid temperature 0–35 °C. Supplied with a 5 or 10 m cable.

VT (Vortex) Range – Cast Iron, Heavy Sludge

Heavy-duty submersible pumps made of GG-25 cast iron with a vortex impeller made of AISI 416 stainless steel. Three sizes (DN 80, 100, 150): flow rate up to 432 m³/h, head up to 35 m, motors 1,1–55 kW. DN 80–150 flange connection. For wastewater treatment plants, sewage pumping stations and the transfer of raw sludge, recirculated sludge and mixed wastewater containing large solids. Solids passage up to 80 mm. IP 68 rating, insulation class F (155 °C). Available for both stationary and mobile installations.

M (Monocanal) Range – Single-Channel Impeller

Submersible pumps made of GG-25 cast iron with an open, single-channel impeller and a cutting edge (fiber cutter). Two sizes (DN 65, DN 80): flow rate up to 158 m³/h, head up to 63 m, motors 1,5–30 kW. DN 65–80 flange connection. For wastewater treatment plants, industrial sewers and drainage systems – reliably pumps liquids containing fibrous materials and suspended solids. IP 68 rating, liquid temperature up to 40 °C (up to 60 °C in a special version). pH 6–10. Double mechanical seal, leakage sensor (conductivity probe) and temperature sensor included as standard.

VORT – light drainage, sumps in family homes, lightly contaminated wastewater. Stainless steel design, compact.

VT (Vortex) – heavy wastewater containing large solids, wastewater treatment plants, sewage pumping stations.

M (Monocanal) – highest capacity and head; the single-channel impeller with macerator can handle fibrous materials, making it suitable for industrial sewer systems and wastewater networks.

Applications

  • Drainage and dewatering – basements, garages, construction pits (VORT)
  • Sumps in family homes and apartment buildings – domestic wastewater (VORT, VT)
  • Wastewater treatment plants – raw sludge, activated sludge, mixed wastewater (VT, Monocanal)
  • Sewage pumping stations – pumping wastewater in municipalities (VT, Monocanal)
  • Industrial wastewater – food processing, slaughterhouses, meat processing (Monocanal with macerator)
  • Agriculture – slurry, manure, farm wastewater (VT)

Can I leave a submersible pump underwater permanently?

Yes, all series have an IP 68 rating and are designed for permanent submersion. VORT up to 10 m, VT and Monocanal up to 20 m.

What is the difference between a vortex and a single-channel impeller?

A vortex impeller (VORT, VT) creates a vortex in the pump chamber—the liquid passes through without direct contact with the impeller, reducing the risk of clogging. A single-channel impeller (Monocanal series) has an open channel with an integrated macerator. It can handle fibrous materials and delivers greater head and efficiency.

Do I need a control panel for the pump?

Three-phase versions (T) require an external control panel with a starter and motor protection. Single-phase VORT versions (M Aut) have a built-in float switch for automatic operation.

What liquids can I pump?

VORT: lightly contaminated wastewater and drainage water. VT: raw sludge, sewage, recirculated sludge, mixed wastewater containing solids up to 80 mm. M: sewage, industrial wastewater, liquids containing fibrous materials and solids, pH 6–10.

What is the warranty on submersible pumps?

SACI pumps come with a 24-month warranty. The double mechanical seal and leak sensor (on VT and Monocanal models) help detect problems early, before the motor is damaged.
